The EMSELLA@ Chair for Pelvic Floor Training

We deliberately included the EMSELLA® room in our concept because the pelvic floor is a real everyday concern for many people—and yet it often doesn’t get enough attention.

After all, it supports us every day. And sometimes our “core” needs a little workout, too.

The treatment is straightforward, gentle, and fits well into a busy daily routine. For many, it feels like a mini gym for down there—only without changing clothes, without exertion, and without sweat.

More stability. More body awareness. More confidence in everyday life.

A modern therapy option that doesn’t make a big fuss—but often makes a noticeable difference.

What is the EMSELLA® chair?

The EMSELLA® chair is a non-invasive treatment option for strengthening the pelvic floor.

The treatment is performed while seated—without undressing and without surgery.

Being well-informed just feels better.

Here you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about EMSELLA®.

What exactly is the EMSELLA® chair?

The EMSELLA® chair is a medical therapy device designed to strengthen the pelvic floor. High-intensity electromagnetic pulses stimulate the pelvic floor muscles—similar to intense muscle training, but without any active effort.

How does the treatment work?

While you sit fully clothed in the chair, targeted muscle contractions are triggered. Thousands of contractions occur during a single session—far more than you could achieve through conscious exercise.

Does the treatment hurt?

No. The treatment isn’t painful. You’ll feel rhythmic muscle contractions in your pelvic floor area—which may feel unfamiliar to many people, but isn’t uncomfortable.

How long does a session last?

A session lasts about 28 minutes. Afterward, you can go right back to your daily routine.

How many sessions are recommended?

According to current research, approximately six treatments are generally recommended to achieve lasting results. These sessions are typically spread out over several weeks.
Depending on the individual’s initial condition and stress levels, follow-up sessions may be beneficial later on to maintain the results achieved over the long term.

Who is EMSELLA® suitable for?

This therapy may be beneficial for:

  • Stress or mixed incontinence
  • Weakened pelvic floor after pregnancy
  • General loss of stability in the pelvic area
  • Preventive pelvic floor training
  • Support during hormonal changes
Do I have to take my clothes off?

No. The treatment is performed while you are fully clothed.

Is a referral necessary?

No. A referral is not required for the EMSELLA® treatment. You can contact us directly to schedule a consultation and make an appointment.

When will I start to notice the first changes?

Many people report feeling better physically after just a few sessions. The full effect usually becomes apparent over the course of the treatment series.

Are there any contraindications?

Yes. This treatment is not suitable for pregnant women or those with certain metal implants or pacemakers. A medical evaluation is always conducted before treatment begins.

How much does the treatment cost?

EMSELLA® therapy is a self-pay service.
One session costs 120 €.
Since studies indicate that approximately six treatments are typically required, we plan the course of treatment transparently in advance. Follow-up sessions may be beneficial depending on your progress.

Is the EMSELLA® treatment covered by health insurance?

Statutory health insurance plans generally do not cover the costs.
Private health insurance plans may reimburse the cost of treatment on a case-by-case basis if there is a valid medical indication. Whether reimbursement is possible and to what extent depends on your specific plan. We recommend that you clarify this directly with your insurance provider in advance.
If needed, we are happy to assist you with the necessary information.
